I'm already over the Mulberry Alexa bag, and believe me, I was very much under it so this is drastic. Seen in the flesh, it seemed a bit nothingy, too small to be practical and the plaited strap at the top just didn't feel or look right. The £795 price tag seemed misplaced, and beside the Bayswater, the Alexa was a joke. I was a little more than devastated, but am yet to see the XXL version, so am keeping my mind open to all things Alexa. In the mean time, to curb my disappointed pangs, I am coveting this gorgeous Mulberry fairground horse key fob. I have a thing for carousels, and in the words of Mulberry, this really does play on my 'schoolgirl crushes'. £100 for a key ring might make you wince, but at an eighth of the price of the Alexa, I think I can hear my bank balance sighing in relief.
